FORECLOSURE SALE
Default having been made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by that certain mortgage executed by Jeff N. Lankford and Sherrie Lankford, husband and wife, to AmSouth Bank, on May 6, 1999, said mortgage being recorded in the Office of the Judge of Probate of DeKalb County, Alabama, at MTG Book 859, Page 1; Regions Bank Successor by Merger with AmSouth Bank, under and by virtue of the power of sale contained in said mortgage, will sell at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash, in front of the main entrance of the DeKalb County Courthouse, in Fort Payne, Alabama, on February 25, 2020, during the legal hours of sale, the following described real estate, situated in DeKalb County, Alabama, to-wit:
A PARCEL OF LAND LYING IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NE 1/4) OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NE 1/4) OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 7 SOUTH, RANGE 9 EAST, CITY OF FORT PAYNE, DEKALB COUNTY, ALABAMA AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
Commence at the southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 2, Township 7 South, Range 9 East of the Huntsville Meridian and Proceed North 88 degrees 41 minutes west along the South boundary of said quarter-quarter for a distance of 630.0 feet to a point; thence proceed North 01 degree 02 minutes East for a distance of 318.9 feet to a point; thence proceed South 88 degrees 41 minutes East for a distance of 630.0 feet to a point on the East boundary of said quarter-quarter; thence proceed South 01 degree 02 minutes West for a distance of 318.9 feet to the point of beginning.
SAID PARCEL OF LAND LYING IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NE 1/4) OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER (NE 1/4) OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 7 SOUTH, RANGE 9 EAST, CITY OF FORT PAYNE, DEKALB COUNTY, ALABAMA AND CONTAINING 4.6 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.
This sale is made for the purpose of paying the indebtedness secured by said mortgage, as well as the expense of foreclosure.
