  • Rainsville Girl Scout Troop #10627
    meets each Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm in the old Lions Club Rodeo building beside the Field of Dreams in Rainsville. Ages 5-18 Contact Amie Martin for information 256-630-9562.
  • Rainsville Boy Scout Troop #184
    meets each Monday evening at 4:30 pm in the old Lions Club Rodeo building beside the Field of Dreams in Rainsville.
  • Benefit Singing–The Tenbroeck Boy Scout Troop #96 will hold a benefit singing on Saturday, February 2nd, beginning at 5:30 pm at Highway Church of God.
    The singers will be New Grace, the Christianaires, and The Gilbert Family.
    Proceeds go to help the Tenbroeck Boy Scout Troop. Everyone welcome to attend.
  • The DeKalb Education Retirees Association
    The DeKalb Education Retirees Association (DERA) will meet Friday morning, February 1st at Kelly’s Kitchen in Rainsville at 10:00 am. The program will include comments about the 2019 Legislative Session from Senator Livingston and Representative Ledbetter. There will also be a question and answer time. All retired educators, active and support professionals, are invited and encouraged to attend.
  • Mt. Carmel Wesleyan Church
    Mt Carmel Wesleyan Church in Adamsburg will host a Valentine Banquet and Auction on Saturday, February 2. The meal begins at 4:30 pm, with the auction beginning at 6:00. This is a benefit for the youth.
  • DeKalb County Genealogical Society
    The DeKalb County Genealogial Society will meet Saturday, February 9 at 10:00 am in the DeKalb County Public Library. Charles Killian will give the program on the Killian Family. anyone interested in genealogy is welcome to attend.
  • Learn To Square Dance–The Duos and Solos Square Dance Club welcomes you to learn to square dance at The DeKalb County Council On Aging on Thursdays at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm. You are invited to receive four free lessions on February 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.  Refreshments and finger foods will be served. Join your friends and make new ones!   • Dinner Theatre–DeKalb County Children’s Advocacy Center Annual Dinner Theatre will be presenting Happy Birthday Mama, on selected dates between February 7th and February 16th. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm, with the show beginning at 7:30 pm at the Fort Payne United Methodist Church Christian Life Center
    The presentation will take a tender and humorous look at family relationships and how precious each moment is.
    Tickets start at $25 and can be ordered by calling 256-997-9700.
  • Section Church Of God
    The Section Church of God, located on 84 Hodge Road, would like to invite all children ages 4 thru 7 to Tiny Disciples Children’s Church each Sunday Morning at 11:00 am. There will be a Bible story time, crafts, and more led by Director Kelly James. Pastor Gary Nix and church welcomes all.
