Ruhama School will present “Mary Poppins, Jr.” on Friday, May 14, at 7:00 pm and Saturday, May 15, at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Admission for students will be $3.00, and adults will be $5.00.

DeKalb Co SWCD
The DeKalb County Soil & Water Conservation District (DeKalb Co SWCD) will hold its monthly board meeting on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the USDA Service Center in Rainsville at 6:00 pm. DeKalb Fire Association
The DeKalb Fire Association (DCAFD) is selling tickets for a cedar glider. Tickets may be purchased at Fyffe Town Hall. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. The drawing will be held on Thursday, July 8, at the DCAFD monthly meeting.
Third Saturday Sunset
Fort Payne’s Third Saturday Sunset season has begun. It is held on the third Saturday of each month until October. There are classic cars, live entertainment, food vendors, a kid’s zone, and numerous vendors set up in Fort Payne’s historic downtown district.
Ride To Support The Blue
West Street Towing will hold a Ride To Support The Blue on Saturday, May 22, 2021. The arrival time is 9:30 am, and the drive begins at noon—participants will arrive at Applebees in Fort Payne. The drive covers 81 miles. There is no entrance fee, but donations are requested for entry. All donations will be evenly distributed across local departments. City of Rainsville Spring Cleanup
The City of Rainsville Spring Cleanup will begin Friday, May 28, and run through Wednesday, June 30. A roll-off dumpster will be located behind the City Shop. The hours of operation will be Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. You must be a Rainsville Sanitation customer. Have your sanitation bill with you. Children’s Advocacy Center Dinner Theatre
The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) will hold their annual Dinner Theatre fundraiser on Thursday, June 3, through Saturday, June 12. The featured play is Southern Hospitality. The event will be held at Fort Payne First United Methodist Church’s Christian Life Center, located at 206 Grand Avenue, NW, in Fort Payne. Doors open at 6:05 pm, and dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. The play will begin at 7:30 pm. Contact the CAC at 256-997-9700 to reserve your tickets!
Fort Payne Lions Club Fundraiser
The Fort Payne Lions Club will hold their 46th annual BBQ Chicken Fundraiser in the Fort Payne City Park on Saturday, May 15 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Donations of $8 per ticket.
Blood Drive
The American Red Cross will host a blood drive on Monday, May 17 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Rainsville Public Library. Participants may schedule an appointment online or by contacting the library.
The Town of Hammondville is hosting is first annual car show on Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at 10 a.m. Vehicles may register the day of the event, $25 per vehicle and $20 per motorcycle. There will be a 50/50 drawing, music, food, prizes and various vendor booths. All proceeds will go to refurbish Hammondville’s baseball field.
