The Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) issued its 2021-2022 report cards for all public schools in Alabama. This report is the first one released since the COVID Pandemic. The State did not issue a report during 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.
Schools were evaluated on academic achievement and academic growth. Several demographics for each school are displayed on the State’s website giving an overall picture of the populations of each school.
The overall scores for each school in the DeKalb County and Fort Payne City School Systems are listed below. In DeKalb County, Plainview High School scored a 90 on its 2021-2022 report, the top-scoring school in the system.

• Henagar Jr High School 81

• Valley Head High School 82
There were no failing schools in DeKalb County or Fort Payne City.
