The long awaited time has finally arrived when our loyal customers will get a glimpse of the real Margie Mountain. The Mountain Valley News is pleased to announce the beginning of an exciting new genre, wherein Margie Mountain will be doing an online video web log called a Vlog.
Margie Mountain has been working with the Mountain Valley News for almost six years now (since October of 2012), and has become one of our most read columnists. While her identity has been a secret and she has worked only in the background for all this time, Margie has finally stepped out of the shadows and is ready to take on a more active role.
Margie is very forthcoming as she talks about her life with husband – Earl Ulysses Mountain (aka: Ole Earl), as well as her children – Enis; Lula Mae, Marilou, Jasper, Norma Jean, and of course Elmer and his wife Charlene and children Elmer Jr. and little Josie Mae. Margie shares memories of her childhood with her parents, siblings, and many cousins, as well as her classmates and teachers at good ole Podunk High School. She talks fondly of her work experiences, coworkers, and bosses in her former life…before working with Mountain Valley News. She also gives advise in just about everything imaginable to folks who write to her asking for help.
