The DeKalb County Board of Education held a special called meeting on Friday, July 12, 2019. During the meeting, the board acted on the following items:
- Approved the retirement of Cyndy Smith – Network Manager (12 Month) – Central Office
- Accepted the resignation of Crestah Taylor – Pre-K Teacher – Plainview High School
- Accepted the resignation of Tina Lyles – Assistant Director DeKalb County Technical Center
- Accepted the resignation of Jimmy Childers – Science Teacher – Ider
- Approved the transfer of Ashley Conde from Pre-K Teacher at Valley Head to Pre-K Teacher at Plainview High School
- Approved the transfer of Leigh Ann Stalvey from Elementary Teacher at Ider High School to Counselor (10 Month) at Valley Head
- Approved the transfer of Heather Conkle from Pre-K Teacher at Crossville Middle School to Pre-K Teacher at Ruhama
- Approved the transfer of Heath Blackwell from Half Day Assistant Principal at Crossville Middle School to Principal at Crossville Middle School
- Approved the placement of Nicole Callahan as an Elementary Teacher at Collinsville High School
- Approved the placement of Anna Adams as a Middle School Math Teacher at Ruhama
- Approved the placement of Sherry Pettis as Pre-K Auxillary at Crossville Middle School
- Approved the placement of Ashlyn Benefield as Itinerant Special Education Paraprofessional at Ider High School Special Services Center
- Approved the placement of Misty Shelton as Itinerant Paraprofessional at Ider High School Special Services Center
- Approved the placement of Amy Banks as Itinerant Special Education Paraprofessional at Geraldine High School
The next scheduled DeKalb County Board of Education meeting is July 30, 2019, with a work session at 4:00 pm and meeting at 5:00 pm.
