The Geraldine council met Monday, February 12. Minutes from the last meeting and the last work session were approved.
- The council heard from Layton Olson about doing some projects for the 250th anniversary of our country in 2026 and about a nature and heritage program for Geraldine.
- Mayor Ables gave an update on the old Liberty Bank building that is being remodeled to house the Geraldine Medical Clinic, and some renovations being done at the playgrounds in the park.
- The council approved a radio ad on 107.5 FM which will broadcast the Geraldine boy’s basketball games for the extent of the play-offs.
- Plans are being made for the town Egg Hunt to be held on March 23.
- The council agreed to make a donation to the school to honor the football team for their success this past season.
- The council adopted a Resolution to surplus a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and allow the mayor to sign the documents to sell it.
- The council agreed to pay for materials to re-model the restrooms at the ball fields.
- Robert Albritten was hired as a full-time Police Officer.
- The council voted to build a new shop for the maintenance department.
- The bills were approved to be paid.
- An update was given on a new ball field that will be bid soon.
