Congratulations to Allison Jackson and her sons Will, Sam, and Charlie on finding Goldie and claiming the Orlando vacation package. The Jacksons will spend a week in sunny Florida at the Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas in Lake Buena Vista/Orlando and receive $250.00 cash.
Finding Goldie was a family affair for the Jacksons. This treasure hunt was not the crew’s first attempt at finding Goldie. They had previously participated in MVN’s Goldie Hunts and were prepared to put the clues together to find Goldie’s hiding place.
Allison did not solve the mystery by herself. She had help from her mother, Regina Henderson, a former winner, who was willing to put boots on the ground and search for Goldie following her daughter’s direction. Allison, who had to work, talked with her mom on the phone, telling her where to look and encouraging her not to give up. Below are the clues the crew put together to find Goldie.
Week 1
- Newspaper Clue: Let’s get this show on the road; the first stop is to the bank I go.
- Business Clue: My tummy says it’s time for a snack; maybe I’ll have a Big Mack.
- Oh no! I have no gas! Is that a Mapco I just passed?
Week 2
- Newspaper Clue: My shopping list is long with little money to spend; I wish I could find a Bargain Bin.
- Business Clue: They didn’t have what I need; down the mountain, I must proceed.
- Facebook Clue: Down, down, down I go, where I’ll stop nobody knows.
Week 3
- Newspaper Clue: Where to shop I think I know, to Wally World, I must go!
- Business Clue: Here’s the list of what I need; it will help you to succeed:
Map, Onions, Umbrella, Nightgown, Towel, Air mattress, Inflatables, New shoes, Vitamins, Apples, Lemonade, Lunchmeat, Energy drink, Yogourt, Necklace, Earrings, Watch, Suitcase
- Facebook Clue: Now I’ve got what I need to go, and you’ve got all you need to know!
Allison realized the first letter from each word in the list of items Goldie needed fit together and spelled Mountain Valley News. She sent her mom to our office, and after much searching, Goldie was found taped under the bottom rail of the Mountain Valley News sign.
Be sure and keep up with MVN because you never know when Goldie might decide to hide again.
