The Enhabit Home Health Care and Hospice team visited the Rainsville City Council during its November 21, 2022, meeting. Heather Willoughby, RN Hospice Transition Navigator, thanked the Council for the opportunity to speak and for recognizing the importance of hospice and palliative care – medical care for people with a serious illness.
Willoughby explained the goal of Enhabit Home Health Care & Hospice. She said, “ What Enhabit Home Health Care stands for is keeping the citizens of Rainsville at home. That is our goal. We want to keep them out of the hospital, as functional as possible, and when the time comes, and they are ready for hospice, we want to keep them out of pain and offer them control.”
Councilman Brandon Freeman read a proclamation proclaiming November as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. The Council thanked the organization for its excellent care in the community.
