Tournament begins
Friday at Rainsville’s
Sports Complex (Field
of Dreams).
The two-day tourney
features eight teams
battling for a chance to
be crowned the 2023
county champions.
First-round play
begins Friday, Apr.
14, with No. 1-seeded
Plainview vs. No. 8
Crossville at 2 p.m.
- Also at 4 p.m. in F-2,
No. 2 Ider takes on No.
7 Valley Head.
- No. 3 Sylvania faces
No. 6 Geraldine at 4
p.m.
- In F-2, No. 4
Fyffe takes on No. 5
Collinsville at 2 p.m.
The Loser’s Bracket
play begins at 10 p.m.
on Saturday on F-1 and
F-3.
The championship
round is scheduled for 7
p.m. on Saturday, Apr.
Last year, the Lady
Bears held off No.
2-seeded Geraldine in a
4-3 championship-round
win, forcing a second
game, where Plainview
closed with a 12-2
victory and their seventh
consecutive county title
at Rainsville Sports
Complex.
