Eagles Soar Over Hornets

The Pisgah Eagles traveled to Ider to take on the Hornets on Thursday night. The Hornets came out with a scoring drive first adding 7 to the scoreboard in the first quarter. The Eagles, however, came back and scored 2 times and upped the score to 14-7. The Hornets did not go down easy and put up a fight against the Eagles. In the second quarter, the Hornets scored 3 times and took the momentum into halftime along with the lead on the scoreboard at 27-14. The Ider Hornets thought they had the game in their control, but their defense couldn’t stop the Eagles. Pisgah scored 7 points in the third quarter and 6 in the fourth quarter to tie the game up just before time expired. The game went into overtime where Pisgah scored 7 for the win. The Eagles took this hard-earned win home. Pisgah’s #7 Fox Tinker showed out for the night with 214 yards rushing with 4 touchdowns. He showed up on defense as well and came up with an interception. #9 Parker Law had 5 receptions and rushed for 35 yards with 1 rushing touchdown. Pisgah gets ready to host the Section Lions on Friday night while Ider is preparing for Falkville.
