Lady Devils Softball

The Fyffe Lady Devils softball program kicked off this month and their current record is 2-2-1.
Fyffe v/s Cedar Bluff
The Lady Devils hung on for the 8-6 win despite losing a six-run lead in the bottom of the seventh. Fyffe opened up the first inning with four runs which Alivia Hatch got moving when she doubled and scored two runs. Cedar Bluff scored two in the bottom of the first, but neither team would score again until Fyffe brought in two runs in the top of sixth and two more in the top of the seventh. Fyffe totaled 11 hits while Bella Pettis and Chloe Hatch brought in three hits apiece. Hatch also earned the win on the mound for the Lady Devils and struck out four batters.
Fyffe v/s Collinsville
The Lady Devils stole the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning to win the game 10-7 on Friday, March 5. Collinsville led Fyffe 7-6 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Livia Cowart hit a grand slam and scored four runs. Bella Pettis, Nevaeh Smith, Alivia Hatch, Cowart, and Emily Webb each collected one hit for the Lady Devils. Chloe Hatch got the win for Fyffe from the mound and gave up seven runs on eight hits and struck out three.
Fyffe v/s Cullman
Fyffe took a 9-9 tie through four innings with Cullman on Friday, March 5. Cullman started things off by scoring two runs in the first inning. Fyffe battled back and scored six runs in the bottom of the second. The Lady Devils totaled 11 hits while Alivia Hatch, Chloe Hatch, and Livia Cowart managed two hits apiece.
Fyffe v/s Buckhorn
The Lady Devils opened up the first inning by scoring a run, but Buckhorn brought in five runs in the bottom of the third on their way to defeating Fyffe 8-4. Alivia Hatch led the Lady Devils with multiple hits, plus one home run, while Fyffe totaled seven hits for the day. Chloe Hatch was on the mound for the Lady Devils with zero strike outs.
Fyffe v/s Madison County
Madison County went up early when they scored five runs in the first inning and Fyffe wouldn’t be able to make a comeback and lost 13-3 on Saturday, March 6. The Lady Devils totaled eight hits while Bella Pettis, Olivia Wilks, and Emily Webb led with two hits apiece. Chloe Hatch, Kendra Fay, and Katie Edge all shared the circle and totaled one strike out collectively.
The Lady Devils continue their season with a matchup on Thursday, March 11, at Collinsville High School at 4:30.
